Quick-Disconnect system for SteppIR yagis

A customer has recently asked us to provide a Quick-Disconnect system for portable operation. As as result of this and  further demand, we now offer a system using waterproof parts to IP66, which is sufficient for protection from severe weather environments, A plug is fitted to each motor cable, and that mates with a socket on the waterproof connection box. The 12 or 16-core control cable from the SteppIR controller enters the box through a waterproof gland, and the conductors are wired to the sockets inside the box. Customers who are reluctant to wire using the terminal block / pipe arrangement supplied as standard with the antennas may also wish to use this system.

Installation of your SteppIR will be simplified by using our system, as the control cable from your shack can be wired into the box while it is on the ground. Our QD plugs can be also wired to the motors while the antenna is on the ground. You then install the control cable and the QD box on the tower, take up your antenna, and simply plug the motors into the box. What's more, this system will give you an absolutely moisture-free system, also with no possibility of insect ingress. Testing of each motor and your cabling is also made much easier.

We also offer a kit of parts for the QD system (please see prices below).

UK VAT (17.5% sales tax) may be deducted from the prices shown, for customers outside the European Community.

NB - Verticals and the SteppIR dipole come already with Quick-Disconnect connectors.
